Productivity Pack 1.0
Modern Internet applications are growing increasingly complex, beyond the boundaries set by HTTP. The WebLoad Internet Productivity Pack (IPP) enables users to easily test and analyze the performance and integrity of applications using non-HTTP protocols.
A common multi-protocol application, for example, may have a Web interface containing a link to a FTP download with an email registration component. Using the Productivity Pack, a tester can rapidly create a single WebLoad Agenda that navigates to the relevant section of the Web site, downloads the files using FTP, and then sends mail to a mail server to be validated.
Each of these actions involves using a different Internet protocol: HTTP for the Web, FTP for the file transfer, SMTP to send mail, and POP to verify delivery. The Productivity Pack provides the only solution in the industry that can enable native testing of any of these protocols at a user-friendly, JavaScript level.
Protocols Supported• FTP (File Transfer Protocol) - Transfer files over the Internet
• POP (Post Office Protocol) - Retrieve email over the Internet
• SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) - Create and send mail over the Internet
• Telnet (Telnet) - Connect and interact with remotehosts
• UDP - (User Datagram Protocol) - Send data over the Internet
Product Benefits
• The only solution to provide high level access to full protocol functionality (see reverse for details).
• The only way to quickly and easily build flexible multi-protocol tests within a single Virtual User.
• Extensive debugging capability at the protocol level to quickly and easily assess performance issues using JavaScript extensions.
• Easy to use native JavaScript extensions for common Internet protocols enable rapid test script development and deployment.
• Easy to create more thorough testing scripts without the need to understand and program socket-level communications.
